Zomi Communities Worldwide Mourns Dead ZRA Members, Tiger And Mark

New Delhi 20 January 2010: Slain members of Zomi Revolutionary Army (ZRA) cadres Pvt. Thang Za Muan aka Mark and Pvt. Thang Min Lun aka Tiger are being mourned by Zomi communities worldwide.
Individuals and various Zomi associations worldwide pay their respect to Mark and Tiger via email. Zonet (a Yahoo! email group) is filled with such emails from individuals and organisations praising the efforts and sacrifices of ZRA in defending Zogam and laying down their valuable lives for all Zomis.
Not only that, Zomi Student’s and Youth Organization (Eastern region – Thai-Burma Border) also asks all Zomi Innkuan organisations and individuals to contribute generously for the benefit of the two slain in fighting the Meitei (Manipuri) underground, People Liberation Army (PLA), in the Cikha Township of Chin State, Burma on January 13, 2010.
ZSYO went on to say that ZRA defended Zogam (Zo land) from invaders and keeps us all safe from harm and we are forever grateful for their sacrifices. It also laments the State Peace and Development Council (SPDC)’s pathetic attitude of leaving the people of Chin State defenceless and vulnerable from outside aggression and intruders like PLA.
One valuable outcome of the recent battle between PLA and ZRA is the way it unites the Zomi population worldwide and brings together Indian Zomis and Burmese Zomis closer. Another being, PLA or any other intruder into Chin State or any Zomi populated region for that matter, will now think twice before making any move.
